COOLi Alma

Kuli Alma is the best club in Tel Aviv. If you google ‘gay bars in Tel Aviv’ Kuli will come up but it really isn’t a gay club, it’s an art club. Weekends are 24+ but most weeknights it is 18+. You find it on Mikveh Israel St, with the current construction it can be hard to find but that just adds to the vibe. You enter into a world of colorful lights and walk down the stairs into the actual space itself.

The best part of Kuli Alma is that is has something for everyone. Want to dance to techno and pop music? Go to the big dance room with the strobe lights and the deejay. Want to dance to oldies? Go to the red lit kiosk where you can dance on benches and see the latest Kilu merch (my favorite room). Want to lay down and talk? Go to the treehouse room. Want to see local art? Go to the art gallery. Want to get really drunk? Go buy a Tubi 60/Lemonade slushie for 42 nis. It’s magical.

My favorite time I went to Kuli Alma was on Halloween. Everyone was in costume and they turned the art gallery into a haunted house. Really it is such a good time every time you go.
