The Dankest Burger Joint: Vitrina

My favorite restaurant in Tel Aviv is Vitrina. There are two locations, one on Shlomo Ibn Gvirol and one on Lilienblum. The one on Lilienblum is called Vitrina Lili. Vitrina is a hipster burger joint with the best fries I have found in Tel Aviv. I first found Vitrina after a long night of hanging out on Rothschild Blvd. A friend and I went to a different burger place and were waiting outside for 20 minutes when a woman passed by and told us that Vitrina was so much better. She showed us the way to get there and quickly we made our way there. The place was packed. We looked over the menu and everything sounded amazing. Me, being a vegetarian, I was happy to see they have two options for veggie burgers. My friend and I sat at the bar and watched as the grungy-looking employees danced to the loud music and drank beer behind the counter as they greeted their midnight customers. The walls were covered in cool art and decorations and of course the neon ‘Vitrina’ sign. When my food came I nearly fainted. A veggie burger with grilled tomatoes and pickles and on the side a mix of regular and sweet potato fries topped with lemon zest. I thought I was going to die. For only 52 shekels that’s not a bad deal. I have been there many times since and it never fails to satisfy.
