The best cafe in Tel Aviv (or at least my personal favorite cafe, is Judith’s. Judith’s is a small cafe and bakery located at Sderot Yehudit 21, Tel Aviv Yafo. Judith’s (or ג׳ודית) serves everything from sandwiches and salads for a sit down meal to gourmet sandwiches to grab on the go. Going to Judith’s every week and making it a part of my usual routine not only helped to make me feel more at home in a foreign country, it also became a private place of my own, somewhere no one else on year course really knew about, a small oasis from the usual craziness of Beit Hillel. The fact that it was only a minutes walk away and I could get freshly squeezed juice here made it even better. One of my favorite meals to order from Judith’s is the chicken Caesar salad (picture 2), behind it you can see the equally good shawarma chicken salad. Salads cost from 45-55 shek on the dinner menus and anywhere from 35 to 48 shek on the lunch menu. Fresh juices will run you anywhere from 14 shek to 22, and coffees can be from 10 to 20 shek. Another favorite is the Bruschetta salad with mozzarella (picture 1). This salad is 45 shek at lunch time and is a nice fresh meal that can be shared.
