I am a foodie, that is undeniable. As someone who is always cooking up new things and visiting as many new restaurants as I can, the Shuk siyur has to be my favorite. Getting to taste new things in the shuk I’ve visited so many times before was eye opening, not only did I get to taste new food, I learned to pay better attention to my surroundings and keep my eyes open for the small treasures hidden in the most surprising places. On this siyur I discovered new baked goods, a love for hummus that I never knew existed, an obsession with passion fruit juices from the Etrog Man, and a sense of luck with the stones we received from the spice shop. Every place we attended on this siyur blew my mind with how delicious everything was. The passionfruit and goat yogurt juice from the Etrog Man shop has a twist of sweet and sour. I was blown away and immediately fell in love with it. I’ve returned and gotten the same thing twice since the siyur, but for only 20 shek it’s been well worth it every time.

These yummy little pastries were from the Bureekas (excuse my spelling, I am unsure how it is spelled) seller, the one who was famous for being on a TV show. The bureekas were new to me and definitely something I’d like to try again. Overall this siyur left me with good vibes, a full stomach, and a food coma for the ages.
